Recent Accomplishments
JPS Solutions is proud to have helped 20 charter schools secure more than $51 million in American Rescue Plan and other COVID-19 recovery grant funds. Among the schools that we helped to obtain American Rescue Plan funds are the Challenge Preparatory Charter School (Challenge Prep), the The Renaissance Charter School 1 and 2, the Carl Icahn Charter Schools, the Academy of the City Charter School, the Brooklyn Charter School, King Center Charter School, Imagine Me Leadership Charter School, South Buffalo Charter School, American Dream Charter School, Central Queens Academy Charter School, South Bronx Early College Academy Charter School and the Urban Dove Charter Schools. We also helped schools obtain millions of dollars in assistance through Title 1, CARES Act I and related funding sources.
JPS Solutions is proud to have helped The Renaissance Charter School 2 design a successful proposal to add an innovative high school program to its highly-effective academic model for early grades. We have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with The Renaissance Charter School 2 and its partner The Renaissance Charter School, and we are happy that the New York State Board of Regents has approved its request for expansion.
Congratulations to Innovation Charter High School (Innovation) on its award of a full 5-year charter renewal from the New York City Department of Education and the New York State Board of Regents. We are proud to have worked with the Innovation’s extraordinary leadership team, Board of Trustees and staff since 2014. Congratulations to Challenge Preparatory Charter School (Challenge Prep) on its award of a full and unencumbered 5-year charter renewal with authorization to expand its enrollment at the elementary grade level and to expand the grades it will serve to add grades 9-12. As a result of this renewal and expansion, Challenge Prep will provide a groundbreaking K-12 academic program that integrates college preparatory study with career and technical education (CTE) at all grade levels. JPS Solutions is proud of our 12-year association with Challenge Prep, and we are happy to have helped it develop its successful initial charter application and each of its successful charter renewals.
Overall Accomplishments
JPS Solutions is proud of its involvement in the development and expansion of the Partnership for Innovation in Compensation for Charter Schools (PICCS), a Comprehensive School Improvement Model for 25 public charter schools in New York City, Western New York State and New Jersey. We are proud to have written grant proposals that secured approximately $40 million in federal Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grants to develop and implement high-quality human capital management systems in high-need public charter schools. We are especially proud that our partner, Frank San Felice, was Program Director of all of the PICCS projects and our other partners provided training and technical assistance to all of the participating charter schools.
JPS Solutions is proud of its involvement in the development and operation of the national Network of Independent Charter Schools. We wrote a proposal that secured a $3 million federal grant to provide technical assistance and support to independent charter schools. We are especially happy to have provided training and technical assistance to the participating schools, to have co-developed the program’s website and to have contributed to the national Charter Notebook blog.
JPS Solutions is happy to have helped create a dozen new public charter schools. We helped design and wrote the applications that launched charter schools in New York City and across New York State. Several of these schools have been so successful that they have been replicated to establish new charter schools including the New York Center for Autism Charter School, East Harlem Scholars Academy Charter School, Hebrew Language Academy Charter School and The Renaissance Charter School.

2017 Accomplishments
Congratulations to the Community Action Organization of Western New York (CAO) on its award of five 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants totaling more than $1 million in March 2017. These grants are helping CAO provide high-quality after-school programs at several Buffalo Public Schools. JPS Solutions is proud of our long association with CAO and we are happy to have been selected to design and implement the program evaluation for each grant-funded project.
2016 Accomplishments
Congratulations to the Renaissance Charter School (NYC) and the Hellenic Classical Charter School on receiving Charter School Dissemination Grants in July 2016. These grants will enable the charter schools to share best practices with traditional public schools in NYC. JPS Solutions is happy to participate in the implementation of this important project.

This high-achieving charter schools serves a unique student population comprising children and youth with autism.
